Inclusive Hiring for Employers
Vermont Works for Women staff created resources designed to help employers strengthen their workforce and advance equity in their organizations. The Inclusive Hiring Toolkit describes supportive policies and practices, focusing on removing barriers to employment, offering flexibility and access to resources, understanding individual needs, and addressing employee shortages across multiple industries. While the toolkit has a focus on supporting women with a history of involvement with the criminal justice system, we’ve found that the resources, strategies, and tools support employers with building truly inclusive workplaces for everyone.
