Vermont Works for Women promotes economic justice by advancing gender equity.

By: Rhoni Basden, VWW Executive Director

Hello!

Rhoni Basden, Executive Director of Vermont Works for Women

I am honored and thrilled to have the opportunity to follow in Jen’s footsteps and serve as the new Executive Director of Vermont Works for Women. From the moment I learned of VWW, I was ignited by the ambitious mission, successful programs, and the leading role VWW plays in advancing opportunities for women and girls!

I am excited to come back to my home state of Vermont, which truly helped form who I am today.  I spent the past 7 years as Executive Director of Girls Inc. of Tennessee Valley, where I cultivated a passion for gender equity, social justice, and opportunities for all. Joining VWW is an opportunity for me to continue this work, alongside a talented and dedicated team of board and staff.

As I get settled, I intend to invest my time in learning and understanding the economic challenges facing women and girls across our state while working with our supporters, community partners, and advocates to address the issues at hand and create lasting change. I look forward to meeting you as I transition into this role and I encourage you to reach out to me as well to get our discussions started!

In the meantime, I hope you will consider donating to Vermont Works for Women this holiday season. With your support, we can help more women and girls recognize their potential and achieve a financially stable future.

Warmly,

Rhoni Basden
Executive Director of Vermont Works for Women
