More Green More Good Partnership Scores
The inaugural Vermont Green Women’s team regular season came to an exciting end as the Green were crowned the 2026 USLW League Northeast Division Champions and advanced to the playoffs. The team’s success on the field, led to success off the field with the More Green More Good campaign raising over $3,000 for Vermont Works for Women.
Through the partnership, Vermont Works for Women (VWW) and the Vermont Green Football Club teamed up to expand opportunities for female athletes while directly supporting Vermont women. BirdieBlue, GameTheory, and Ursa Major signed on as inaugural partners, sponsoring Vermont Green and pledging $50 per home goal scored to support VWW’s statewide programs. The Vermont Green Women scored 17 goals during the regular season bringing in over $2,500 for our work.
Vermont Works for Women tabled with our sponsors at two home games, where we had the chance to talk with people about our work. We also raffled off prizes from BirdieBlue and Ursa Major, and Vermont Green fans helped us raise more than $600.

Funding from More Green More Good will go towards supporting VWW’s youth career exploration programs, adult trades pre-apprenticeship training, as well as our career coaching and gender equity initiatives. Each year VWW works with over 1,800 women, girls and gender-expansive youth across Vermont as they pursue financial independence and rewarding careers.
Beyond the financial support, the partnership also allowed us to raise awareness of persistent economic inequality and the need for more workplace and educational support for women, girls, and gender-expansive youth. We couldn’t be more pleased with how this inaugural campaign and season went.
“Partnering with the Vermont Green Women’s team has given us the opportunity to be part of a growing movement that celebrates women’s sports while advancing conversations about pay equity, economic opportunity, and community investment,” shared VWW Executive Director Rhoni Basden. “This partnership reflects our shared belief that when we intentionally support women, girls, and gender-expansive youth, we create stronger, more equitable communities.”
Thank you to the Vermont Green for being an amazing partner, to our three incredible women-owned business sponsors for backing this new idea, and to the Vermont Green Women’s team for a season worth celebrating!
