Career Exploration and Gender Equity Programs for Career & Technical Centers

Vermont Works for Women delivers programs and training that build on current efforts to increase gender equity within career and technical education centers throughout the state.

Contracted services range from career exploration events that introduce young girls and gender-expansive youth to their local tech center, to professional development workshops that support staff in creating a sustained, school-wide culture of diversity and inclusion.

Available Offerings

Host middle school girls and gender-expansive youth for a judgement-free, fun-filled day to explore their local tech center. Career Challenge Day exists to give visiting students a hands-on, action-filled introduction to STEM and trades education and career pathways. VWW coordinates recruitment, registration, and the flow of the day.

VWW offers workshops and consultations focused on gender equity in the workplace and learning spaces, including schools and career and technical education centers.

Create an inclusive, welcoming environment for students

Partner with Vermont Works for Women today to grow the enrollment of underrepresented students at your tech center and support current students to be successful.
