March 24 - May 7

Vermont Works for Women’s Trailblazers training program prepares women and gender-expansive individuals for careers in construction and the trades. Trailblazers provides a safe, non-judgmental environment for participants to build skills, gain confidence and explore fields that tend to be male-dominated. Women and gender-expansive folks ages 18 + are encouraged to apply; no experience necessary!

Trailblazers includes:

  • Seven weeks of free hands-on training (held evenings and Saturdays) covering core construction, trades, and renewable energy skills
  • Nationally recognized OSHA 10 certification
  • Access to mentors, a paid onsite work experience, and networking support

The South Burlington Trailblazers class will run March 24 – May 7 2025 at the Local Carpenters Union Training Facility in South Burlington. Class will meet on Monday and Thursday evenings and all day Saturday for seven weeks.

Our South Burlington Trailblazers class is now full. If you have the ability to travel, check out the dates for our Swanton class.
