Join Vermont Works for Women for Rosie’s Girls WELD Camp in Barre at Central Vermont Career Center July 14 – 18, 2025.

Rosie’s Girls is our week-long STEM and career exploration summer day camp for middle school girls*. At Rosie’s Girls WELD, youth are introduced to welding skills in a safe and supportive environment. In addition to hands-on trades learning, campers learn from our social and emotional curriculum known as “Power Skills” to help them navigate school, friendships, and societal issues. Camp also incorporates art, team building, and other fun and games.

Our staff members create a safe space for youth to step outside their comfort zones, make new friends, and build confidence in exploring their passions.

*Rosie’s Girls welcomes into our program anyone who identifies as a girl regardless of assignment at birth. Our programs also welcome youth who are non-binary and gender-expansive who are comfortable in a girl-centered space

Camp Details

  • July 14 – 18, 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM at the Central Vermont Career Center in Barre
  • Camp will include snack and lunchtime. Lunch will not be provided.
  • Many games and activities will occur outdoors. Campers should be prepared with sun protection, water, and proper clothing. If your camper needs assistance with these supplies and/or lunches, please let us know.
  • WELD camp includes the use of power tools and welding equipment. All campers must wear closed-toe shoes during camp.
