Rock and Adventure

Each February during Winter School Break, Rock Climbing and Adventure offers girls in the 6th, 7th and 8th grades outdoor adventures, group experiences, and personal reflection to help successfully navigate the challenges they will face while growing up. It is offered in partnership with Burlington After School program and Petra Cliffs.

Rock and Adventure 2013 program will take place from February 25 – March 1.

Activities include:

  • indoor rock climbing
  • snowshoe adventures
  • yoga
  • self-defense
  • team & community building
  • arts & self-expression
  • journal writing & goal-setting
  • winter ecology activities (nurturing girls’ interest in the sciences)
  • girl-centered curriculum on topics ranging from body image to healthy relationships

Rock and Adventure is made possible through support from Petra Cliffs and the Burlington After School Program.
